Sulita joined AIR in November 2025 as a Program Manager, supporting innovation-focused programs and bringing financial regulators, policymakers and other stakeholders together to advance responsible innovation across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Europe. She brings more than 10 years of experience spanning project management, financial inclusion, consumer protection and international development.
Before joining AIR, Sulita spent seven years at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) in Malaysia, where she managed a global working group of regulators and policymakers and led initiatives in consumer protection, financial education, gender-inclusive finance and knowledge management. Working with policymakers from more than 80 countries, she helped turn policy priorities into action through peer learning, capacity building and policy implementation, while advancing women’s participation and leadership.
Earlier in her career, Sulita worked in international business development, market research and entrepreneurship support in Malaysia and Belgium. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the Economic School of Louvain, specializing in development and impact evaluation, and is a Certified Expert in Financial Inclusion.
