Rosario Ortiz

Fractional Chief Marketing Officer

Rosario serves as the Fractional Chief Marketing Officer at AIR, bringing over 25 years of experience from both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She specializes in building effective marketing operations and strategic marketing plans that strengthen brand awareness and achieve goals. She provides strategic oversight to AIR’s marketing and communication initiatives in support of the organization’s mission and vision.

She was previously the director of communications & marketing at the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), where she led the reorganization of marketing and communication operations, established the groundwork for key strategic initiatives, and successfully led their milestone 150th Anniversary Campaign. Prior to her time at IAFC, Rosario served as vice president of marketing and product management for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) where she managed an award-winning team of design, production, and marketing professionals, and a portfolio of 250 products and 800+ production projects annually. Earlier in her career she served in a variety of marketing roles in the hospitality, telecommunications, and coating industries, building a solid foundation of knowledge, experience, and skills she brings to her current role.

Rosario is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), demonstrating a wide range of knowledge essential to managing a 501c6 and a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) demonstrating possession of the project management skills that high performing organizations demand. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Tourism from Universidad del Sagrado Corazon and her Master of Business Administration in Marketing from University of Phoenix. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

When she is not working, Rosario enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
