Victoria Jory joined AIR in May 2024 as Strategic Engagement Lead and Program Manager. She joins us from Women's World Banking where she led Global Events and Brand Sponsorships. Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, she was Director, Global Impact at Standard Chartered Bank where she worked for a total of 14 years. During this time, Victoria had experience across the European Region and Group, working in Group Sustainability, Private Bank (West) and the Europe CEO's Office. She led two of the Group’s global flagship initiatives: 'Seeing is Believing', where the Bank raised $104 million towards avoidable blindness and 'Positive Living', which supported education and awareness for HIV and AIDS. She also played a lead role in the set up of the Standard Chartered Foundation and led the Secretariat. During a short break from the Bank, Victoria completed a six-month contract with Orbis International where she led Orbis’ Flying Eye Hospital (FEH) project – managing the FEH’s arrival in London, stakeholder management and week-long engagement to raise awareness and funding.
Prior to entering the Financial Services, and Not-for-Profit space, Victoria worked in construction and interior design. With a BA (Hons) in Interior Design and Project Management, Victoria continues to love architecture and design. She remains passionate about Women's Empowerment, and highly interested in the topics around the purpose driven roles from her career and believes that there is no greater experience than visiting the communities you wish to reach. Victoria lives outside of London, with her husband, two daughters and her Miniature Schnauzer Winston!
