TechSprints to Save Small Business

AIR has been focused on the regulatory implications of the pandemic. We hosted a Save Small Business Hackathon to accelerate the PPP loan application process and a Solution Sprint to explore applications to help banks calculate, track, and report on PPP requirements for loan forgiveness.

On the night the CARES Act was signed into law, AIR launched a 48-hour hackathon to accelerate lending under the SBA Paycheck Protection Program. Sixty volunteers from 20+ companies worked over the weekend to prototype solutions.

To follow up, AIR sponsored two Save Small Business ‘Solutions Sprints’ to help banks calculate, track, and report on the requirements for PPP loan forgiveness. In partnership with the ICBA and The Venture Center, fintechs presented solutions on how to manage the forgiveness process.
