AIR and the Cambridge SupTech Lab held a virtual global hackathon seeking solutions to help financial regulators make better use of consumer complaints and other supervisory data. 

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) hosted their inaugural Velocity TechSprint — supported by AIR — in Washington, D.C. with the goal of improving the mortgage process through data digitization. 

AIR organized and hosted a unique TechSprint to explore how blockchain and cryptocurrency technology could support the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at massive scale. 

AIR partnered with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury to jointly host a global TechSprint to ideate technological solutions to detect and prevent corruption, in continued support of Summit for Democracy.

The Reserve Bank of India Innovation Hub (RBIH) hosted this global TechSprint in partnership with AIR, CIIE.CO and MSC aimed at advancing digital financial inclusion for women in India.

AIR partnered with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to jointly host a global TechSprint to address the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on women.

AIR partnered with the CSBS (Conference of State Bank Supervisors) to produce a TechSprint on Digital Regulatory Reporting (DRR), starting with Crypto.

AIR hosted a TechSprint with regulators, law enforcement, industry and experts to explore how to use the traceability of crypto to limit distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

In July 2019, AIR collaborated with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to produce the first regulatory TechSprint in the U.S. to fight financial crime, money laundering, and human trafficking.

The G20 and the Bank for International Settlements, BIS, hosted the G20 Global TechSprint and called for innovators to participate. Three problem statements were distilled from central banks and financial regulators throughout the world.

On the night the CARES Act was signed into law, AIR launched a 48-hour hackathon to accelerate lending under the SBA Paycheck Protection Program. Sixty volunteers from 20+ companies worked over the weekend to prototype solutions. Watch video here.

AIR sponsored a 2nd Save Small Business ‘Solutions Sprint’ to help banks calculate, track, and report on the requirements for PPP loan forgiveness. In collaboration with the Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA) and The Venture Center, 24 fintechs presented solutions on how to manage the forgiveness process.
