‘Central Bank Digital Currencies: A new tool in the financial inclusion toolkit?’ During the session, AIR will provide an overview of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and their potential benefits and risks for consumers and the World Bank Group. Bank of International Settlements (BIS) will share research into the potential for CBDCs to help advance (or not) financial inclusion. The discussion will also cover gender specific aspects of CBDCs that regulators should keep in mind. Jo Ann is excited to partake in a great conversation!
