The G20 TechSprint was designed to find technology solutions for problems that face virtually all financial regulators. Three problem statements were distilled from input gathered from central banks and financial regulators throughout the world. They were:

Jo Ann Barefoot participated as a judge and moderated a discussion panel on Regtech and Suptech on the final day of the sprint. Applications were open to all organizations that have an interest in solving RegTech/SupTech problems and a proven track record of delivery. The winning entrants will received a $50,000 cash prize.

This was the first fully global techsprint and the broadest in scope. It was a way to connect regulators throughout the world with cutting edge technology innovation, cross-educating the regulatory and tech sectors and showcasing new kinds of solutions for long-standing regulatory challenges.
