Joe leads AIR’s editorial processes. He writes and edits thought leadership materials such as white papers and articles, as well as content for the website and marketing. He collaborates with the Global Head of Communications in managing AIR’s brand awareness and public relations, and provides support for the organization’s digital content platforms. He also writes AIR’s weekly news feature, Seen & Heard.
A journalist by training, Joe was previously Washington Bureau Chief of the American Banker, the preeminent daily news outlet focused on the U.S. financial services industry. He spent 16 years at the Banker covering financial policy, including the regulatory impact of the 2008-10 financial crisis. His prior work includes writing for newspapers in New England about sports, politics and education, among other topics.
A Los Angeles native, Joe lives outside Washington, D.C., with his wife, a middle school science teacher, and their two kids. When not working, he can be found tending his native plant garden or suffering over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
