Adrienne Harris is a Towsley Foundation Policymaker in Residence at the University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy and a Gates Foundation Senior Research Fellow with the Center on Finance, Law, and Policy at the University of Michigan (on leave). She also advises fintech companies, financial institutions, and large venture capital firms. Most recently, Adrienne was the Chief Business Officer and General Counsel a San Francisco-based, insurtech start-up for which she is now an Advisor. Adrienne was a Special Assistant to President Obama for Economic Policy at the National Economic Council in the Obama White House, advising the White House on financial reform, financial technology, cyber security, consumer protection, and housing finance reform, and spearheaded the Administration’s fintech strategy. She previously served as Senior Advisor to Deputy Treasury Secretary Sarah Bloom Raskin.
